This appellation is divided into two regions: southern (from Avignon to Valence), and northern (from Valence to Vienne). Pont Romain is a southern Côtes du Rhône, more precisely produced in the Gard. This makes it possible to benefit from a marly and clay soil and also from a climate with a strong southern influence. Indeed, this makes it possible to obtain fresher and lighter wines while maintaining a good concentration. Baron Le Roy, winemaker from the Rhône Valley, played a major role in the renowned southern appellations. It is in his honor that we created the La Vigne du Roy range by offering a selection of harmonious blends from our partner vines and estates. |
