From the initial few members, currently the Cantina di Dorgali is made up of about 200 men and women also coming from surrounding areas. All together, as in the past, they cultivate about 550 hectares of vineyards. Thanks to their extraordinary and hard work, the Cantina Dorgali produces on average between 18 and 20,000 hectoliters of wine. Today Cantina Dorgali faces up a new challenge: the realization of a new project that upgrades the production through the enhancement of the culture, history and traditions of the territory. The improvement changes start from the vineyard, through a different culture and cultivation of the productions, focusing on low yields per vine and planning all the processes up to the harvest. In the cellar then, the technologies are not sophisticated, but adequate to the need to enhance the varietal characteristics of the cannonau and other native vines present in the area. Our tradition, our territory, our history puts us at the center of what today can finally be called the Classic area of Cannonau In this area there are valleys, plateaus and terraced slopes located between the Supramonte and the Gulf of Orosei. Areas with different soils: sandy, volcanic, calcareous, schist, basalt and granite in which there are vineyards that give life to different wines. |
