Tasting notes of winery's winemaker

Pale straw colour with flashes of lime

green towards the meniscus. Inviting

aromas of lemon cream, butter and

peach blossoms. The palate is elegant yet

has a defined body with refeshing acidity;

there is a gentle creamy texture on the

palate which is backed by the refreshing

lemon fruit character leading seamlessly

to velvety buttery notes with lingering

fruit and a clean lemony finish.

Alvi's Drift Wines

Albertus Viljoen van der Merwe, Alvi to his friends,

established a property South of Worcester in

1928 and his son, Berti to his friends, started

producing wine. Today the wines are being made

by his grandchildren, the property has grown from

humble beginnings to the world-renowned Alvi’s Drift

wine farm it is today.
