Tasting notes of winery's winemaker

Lovely brilliance to this wine with a pale lemon

colour. The nose is complex with aromas

of peaches, stewed quince, Honey Suckle,

hazelnuts and hints of butterscotch. The

wine has a structured, wellrounded palate,

very well-balanced tannins and acids with the

fruit following through with great length to a

memorable finish.

Alvi's Drift Wines

Albertus Viljoen van der Merwe, Alvi to his friends,

established a property South of Worcester in

1928 and his son, Berti to his friends, started

producing wine. Today the wines are being made

by his grandchildren, the property has grown from

humble beginnings to the world-renowned Alvi’s Drift

wine farm it is today.
