Nota de cata del enólogo de la bodega

The wine is a deep blood crimson red, almost black. . . and on the nose, there are lifted aromas of black pepper, violets, plum with hints of spice, pepper, cedar box, tobacco leaf and char. The palate is rich and luscious with a deep integrated labyrinth of woven fruit and oak tannins that lingers in the mouth for days, the vibrant fruit flavours of black cherry, quince, mulberry and ripe plum, dark chocolate and fennel are exquisite.

The flavours are only complimented with extended maturation in French and American oak puncheons (500L barrels) providing the secondary complex characters that you see such as tobacco leaf and hints of old leather creating the fine dusty finish. It is an approachable and balanced yet complex wine.

The ARH Australian Wine Co P/L

In 2004, the 3 Rings brand was established in the Barossa Valley. The Barossa is home to some of the oldest vines in the world. Its Mediterranean climate is ideal for full-bodied red wines.

In June 2017, David, his wife Dena and their son Alan Robb Hickinbotham, named after his great grandfather, purchased the iconic Barossa Valley Vineyard ‘Biscay Road’ where the family had been purchasing fruit from for the 3 Rings Brand since 2009. Biscay Road Vineyard is one of only a few in the Barossa where the soil is unique, the cracking clay Biscay soils provide ideal vine growing conditions for red varietals.

Biscay Road Vineyard grows Shiraz, Cabernet and Durif (Petit Syrah) across 64 acres on the edge of Tanunda and Bethany. It also supplies grapes to some of the most well-known wineries in the Barossa.
