SCEA DES VIGNOBLES PEROY - Chateau La Peyruche

Chateau la Peyruche is located on the beautifull hillsides of the Garonne. The name of “Chateau La Peyruche” comes from the calcareous stones the estate was built on: “Peyre” in old French “la Pierre”, the stone, and “ruche”, in old French “rugueuse”, rough.

La Peyruche was built during the XVth century ( maybe earlier) and then fully renovated during the XVIIth century. A stone carving on the pediment of the farm is dated 1603, mentions the name of Mr Etienne DUNOYER.

Dunoyer’s grandson married Marguerite Secondat de Montesquieu, the aunt of the famous philosopher Montesquieu, she leaded the estate during the second half of the XVIIth century.

During the next centuries, Chateau La Peyruche belonged to differents owners untill Bertrand Weisgerber bought it in 2017.

Today Chateau La Peyruche is specialised in wine-growing and wine-making. We try to produce expressive and typical wines whilst focusing on environmental-friendly development.
