Cherry red, medium-high intensity, garnet highlights, and dense legs. Intense aromas of candied fruits such as quince jelly and black fruit preserve. Hints of wood, with cedar and smoked notes predominating. Aeration reveals mineral aromas, and notes of aromatic herbs such as thyme, as well as dark chocolate. Pleasant, voluminous mouth feel, fresh on the palate, followed by well-balanced acidity and mature tannins. Long finish with notes of liquorice and plums.
