Tasting notes of winery's winemaker
Chardonnay fruit from Tumbarumba fermented to 13.0% alc., the wine oaked. Bright, even, light straw-yellow colour. This has an elegantly concentrated nose with good intensity of white stonefruits and fresh citrus fruits along with spicy oak and nutty elements forming a soft core. Medium-bodied, the palate is elegantly proportioned and lender with light citrus and stonefruit flavours balanced by complexing spicy and nutty oak. The fruit is underlined by fine, drying phenolic textures and the mouthfeel enlivened by fresh, lacy acidity. The graininess and raciness carries the wine to a light, lingering finish with citrus and oak nuances. This is an elegant and fresh Chardonnay with citrussy fruit and complexing spicy oak, and a long dry finish.
